2.5.2.4.1. Error 530 Login incorrect

When connecting via FTP using an FTP client, the error "530 Login incorrect" may occur.

Possible causes and solutions:

  • It has been less than 30 minutes since your hosting account was activated. If this is the case, just wait and try to connect later.
  • You have specified incorrect login or password in the FTP client connection settings. Specify actual data for connecting and make sure that there are no extra spaces in the login and password fields in the FTP client settings.
  • A non-existent access directory is specified in the FTP user settings. Create this directory on hosting using file-manager or change it in FTP-user settings to another one.
