6.7. Reboot Dedicated and boot in rescue mode

Attention!

Data that has not been saved to disk using this method will be lost. We recommend rebooting the server using the operating system's tools, if possible.

Rebooting through the control panel is similar to pressing the Reset button and disconnects the server's power for a few seconds.

  1. Open the "Dedicated" section.
  2. Switch to the "Reboot" tab and click "Reboot server".
  3. Confirm the operation and wait for its completion.

When it is not possible to connect to the server in the usual way (access is lost or diagnostics cannot be performed using the OS tools), you can reboot it into Rescue mode — a system will load that operates in the RAM and does not use the server's local disks. After rebooting, the server will be available for network connection. It can be managed via SSH or using KVM.

  1. Open the "Dedicated" section.
  2. Switch to the "Reboot" tab and click "Load server in Rescue mode".
  3. Select the reboot method after enabling rescue mode:
    1. "Enable with automatic restart" — the server will restart automatically.
    2. "Enable with manual reboot" — the server will need to be manually rebooted within 5 minutes.
  4. Use the data that appears on the "Reboot" tab for connecting to the server: host address, user login, and password.

After completing the work, to boot in normal mode, simply restart the server.
